I would welcome anyone into our city that took pride(no pun intended) in it!Anyone except Muslims, that is.No more circus tent women!Ban the burka! When Christians have the right to wear hot pants in Mecca,I'll relax my statement.
All we want to know from Wes' blog and the PB Post is how much does the CEO of Compass make a year with this scam non-profit money making scheme business he has going using the gay card? Plus he gets free rent from the City of Lake Worth! Compass needs to be transparent and stop preying on gays and using the gay card to rip off tax payers and people who donate to them! How many millions of dollars has the CEO over the years made from government funding and donations?
Some idiot keeps coming up here and asks me if I am afraid of gays--if this is something that I will be writing about next, asking the question with all the contempt that they can muster.
I don't care if someone is gay or green. It is all about the person. My cousin is gay. We all know gays especially in this city. Some you like. Some you love. Some you don't--just like anyone else.
This city was full of Seniors and middle America 50 ago. Then we became a Sanctuary City. Did I like that? Hell no. We became a haven for Gangs. Did I like that? Now we are becoming so diverse that the local high school speaks 67 languages and the gay population is encouraging this city to become the gay capital of the east coast of the country.
First of all, I'm only afraid of criminals and crazy people and those who are hell bent on destroying this city. I would appreciate it, however, if people stopped flaunting their "lifestyle" and just live their lives without forcing their beliefs or lives on everyone else.
As this article was not afraid to talk about it nor were the people featured in it afraid to talk about it like Andy Amoroso, neither am I too afraid to give an opinion.
We all love Lake Worth, and yes it has lots of gays living here, we are the gay hub of PBC, but not sure it will ever become a Wilton Manors, Lake Worth is a little too sleepy for gays, not much action here, many will still live in FTL and Wilton Manors, that is where the Gayborhood will remain in FL. We just don't have the action or things here that most gays want!
I agree, if you ask most gays, especially younger ones, they say they drive to FTL 2-3 a week to go out and for gay action. We do not have it here in PBC. Rooster's is fun on Thursdays for Noche Latino or Ft. Dix on Friday night for their club night with a mix of salsa and American pop music, but the rest of the week many of us go south.

Thanks Lynn for sharing all news even gay news, I do appreciate your blog and all the info you share whether we agree or not, I know you care about our city and world as a whole and that is what matters, keep the faith and don't let these pains in the butt get to you, they are not worth it. Thanks again!
I don't think it really is stereotyping the gays when their positive influence is demonstrated left and right in my neighborhood (Parrot Cove). 60% of the homes, or more, on the most recent home tour, and the last tour as well, were owned by gay men. They demonstrate their pride in their homes, by sinking big dollars into renovations, decorating, etc. I would be happy for more to join our neighborhood and I think they will because gays attract gays since they assume it is a tolerant and welcoming community which it is.
And putting aside their home improvement skills, they are friendly, nice, social, etc. They are good people to have has neighbors.

ReplyDeletethis is a taboo subject in this city. Everyone is scared to death to even approach it.

ReplyDeleteHe's not getting "free" rent anymore.
ReplyDeleteOh, really and how much are they going to have to pay for our city building then?
ReplyDeleteCompass needs an audit and needs to be investigated. It is a sin that a non-profit CEO makes so much money!
Some idiot keeps coming up here and asks me if I am afraid of gays--if this is something that I will be writing about next, asking the question with all the contempt that they can muster.

ReplyDeleteI don't HATE anyone but I probably don't like you very much. Take your crap and sling it somewhere else.

ReplyDeleteWhat exactly is "gay action?"
