Lake Worth Bridge will have new opening schedule

State Rep Jeff Clemens always wanting to do "the right thing," now has helped in the changing of the opening and closing times of the Lake Worth Bridge.

Lake Worth Bridge Opening Schedule

At the specific request of the Citizens' Association of Palm Beach and Town Councilman Dick Kleid, help was enlisted from our State Representative Jeff Clemens and the Town Council through Mayor Gail Coniglio to have the Coast Guard open the Lake Worth Bridge during the closing of A-1-A at designated times rather than on demand.

We are pleased to report that effective May 1, 2012, the bridge will only open on the quarter-hour and three-quarter hour, 24 hours-a-day, seven days-a-week. Public vessels of the United States and tugs with tows may be passed at anytime, as with all bridges.
