  1. Well you know what cat litter is used for. The city litter box runneth over with commission poop.

  2. If that is how you feel, then it is time for you to move. You'll just have to find another city where you can get services without paying property taxes.

  3. I don't understand this comment. The Palm Beach Post just had a lovely article on our new Casino building and the beach renovation. When this facility opens in the fall, the city should see even more new businesses.

  4. Oh gee, I have been here since I was a kid and since I have a different opinion than you I should move? That's sort of like this new commission firing everyone who disagrees with them. Great solution. Great ideas. And that is what this graphic is all about--not only that, but stopping the ZIP, changing requirements for P&Z, a volunteer utility board, ---all a bunch of crock.

As said, Loretta, (it is you, right?)I pay what I am billed. You always take it to a personal level. What about the 60% of people living here who rent? Do they have a voice? Why not debate the issue instead of a personal attack. Do you really think I am happy that my property value fell over 50% in two years? Do you think that turns me on?

  5. "Build higher than the sky" says Loretta.
ONE HUNDRED FEET. ONE HUNDRED FEET.
ONE HUNDRED FEET. ONE HUNDRED FEET.
ONE HUNDRED FEET. ONE HUNDRED FEET.
ONE HUNDRED FEET. ONE HUNDRED FEET.
ONE HUNDRED FEET. ONE HUNDRED FEET.
    MORE LUCERNES. MORE LUCERNES.
    MORE LUCERNES. MORE LUCERNES.
    MORE LUCERNES. MORE LUCERNES.
    MORE LUCERNES. MORE LUCERNES.
    MORE LUCERNES. MORE LUCERNES.

Make sure all of my friends are taken care of. Bring back the good ole boys. Let's see, once again, all those self-serving idiots who ruined our city.

  6. don't get your knickers in a twist. Just make the city one big Section 8 area and no one will have to worry. We can all forget about paying property taxes.

  7. You kind of got it screwed up, didn't you? It is you and those you support who want to bring in MORE affordable housing to this city so that you can gain...developer friends of yours can gain....contractor friends of yours can gain and so forth. I would like to see better housing stock, not attracting more poor people and developing townhouses on the railroad tracks.

  8. Must be the old cat version of that ad for elderly people - "Help, I've fallen and I can't get up."

  9. The way you keep putting down this city I am surprised that you want anything here. It seems you would prefer to burn the whole place down.

  10. It seems I would prefer to burn down the city?

No, I would prefer to have different people sitting on the dais. They are ruining our city.

  11. haha. Now the casino and beach project is the greatest thing, huh John? How do you people keep your stories straight?
If you don't like the majority, everything sucks. If you like the majority, everything that sucked yesterday is just grand today!! LOL!
Why haven't they fixed code enforcement yet? Why is my sidewalk crumbling? Hookers, immigrants, crack dealers. Is it all better all of a sudden?

  12. 5:43, now you're into elderly abuse. Is there anyone left in the city that you can sucker punch?

  13. I'm not the one who flips from side-to-side. I know how I feel about this city and I do not like images such as city hall burning. I find those petty and counterproductive. We cannot live in a fairy tale where everything is exactly as we choose. You have to deal with what is, not what you wnat it to be.

  14. You don't like images? Do you like art? Do you like photographs? Do you like political satire at all? Do you have any humor? Do you like yourself in the mirror?

It sounds like you are the "flip" here. Just so you know what turns me on, it is truth and responsible government. Neither exist in a time warp or are subject to obfuscation -quite the contrary.

  15. To 6:06 p.m. Weather you like the images or not, Lake Worth as you know it is burning.

The under belly of a few residents are the sparks and their personal desire for self-serving aggrandizement by power and control are the perfect fuel. Gathered into their ranks are a small number of unsuspecting souls - those without the harsh required skill of counter-manipulation and now without the possibility to think on their own as their individual ideas and considerations will be replaced by the master manipulator with an illusion of what is so, but it is not. There is ridicule, haughtiness, and snickering that sound like breaking glass and the slow burning flame erupts.

The smoke from this fire is parching the throat of the majority of city residents and they cannot and do not speak. It is difficult to speak or see clearly in a smoke filled room. Yet, if ever there was a time other voices need be heard, it is now. A backfire must be set by those who care or the city you love and place you call home will certainly go up in flames.

  16. 8:58 wins the award for the most over dramatic piece of crap I've ever read.
    I'll try this yet again:
Set a backfire? How exactly is the city going to go up in flames?
How exactly are the people sitting on the dais ruining our city? The city's been in shambles for 10 years, what are they ruining?
Are the new houses being built around town an improvement over the death traps that were knocked down? Yes. You may not like the townhouses being built, but they are an improvement over the death traps that were there. So the housing stock is being improved, just not to your liking. You make a good point about different opinions and moving. You're one person with an opinion. Does that make it o.k. to constantly tear down the city and attack 3 commissioners because they have a different opinion than you? What makes you so sure the changes they are implementing won't benefit the city? Firing the c.m. and asst c.m. were great moves and saved the city lots of money, but you have a different opinion. Does that make you right about the matter?
Who are the self serving idiots that ruined our city? What do you consider ruining our city? Please explain.
Where is all this development you all are so afraid of? Where are all the greedy developers hiding?
There's finally visible evidence the city is turning a corner for the better, yet here the sky is falling. That's why they're called
    naysayers.

  17. Does that make it o.k. to constantly tear down the city and attack 3 commissioners because they have a different opinion than you?

Huh. Suddenly . . . it's not ok to tear down three commissioners because they have a different opinion than I do? Why, it's been ok for several years now. Isn't that how we do it? Actually, the commissioners now in the minority have been verbally abused, threatened, and harassed for some time. And they are still being treated this way. It's not ok? Really?
I think that the bunch of crap on this page is the previous post.

  18. To 10:10 p.m.
Over dramatic – I wish! Did I even mention or say anything about new houses, townhouses, housing stock, three commissioners, firing the city manager and assistant city manager, money, development or greedy developers? What do YOU think I am talking about? As I said, it is hard to see in a smoke filled room. Dig deeper.

  19. Bornstein was chosen with a 5-0 vote.
His first official act was to fire Margolis.
What does that say about the quality of Stanton's Staff and what the whole Commission thinks?
Do you really think something as big as that wasn't discussed in the personal interviews?

    ReplyDelete
  20. Stanton's staff was/is TOP quality. All this says to me is politics got in the way--Scott Maxwell is the likely culprit. Just an educated guess. I don't think a specific such as firing someone was suggested in the personal interviews but I would bet that Maxwell found out who would be the best "company" man, Bornstein or Kroll. In the end, Kroll was thrown under the bus.

If you recall, Titcomb was the choice of 2 commissioners. The new visionaries went with Bornstein and the final vote was 5/0 to show support.
