The Activists

Comment Up

Lynne Purvis is in the news today. You know her...the red streaked haired gal with rings everywhere...an activist to the first degree....good friend of Panagioti Tsolkos and Cara Jennings...one of those who was arrested along with friends in the FPL demonstration of several years ago. She also was a volunteer at The Mentoring Center that encouraged illegal aliens to cross our borders and live off the system, a system she doesn't like and is doing her darndest to make change. What sort of change does she want? More socialism?

She does not consider herself an activist any longer. She has been elevated to an organizer and is heading up Stand Up Florida. She is heavily involved with the socialists and the union directors (those people who want to take it from everyone at the expense of you and me) who are backing her latest effort. Their goal--to smear Rep. Allen West at every opportunity over five weeks. Protesters will be paid $10 to $12 an hour. If they hate capitalism so much, why not work for free?

Watch some people you know in positions of responsibility blaming all the wrong people for all the wrong reasons. They want your chips. They want everyone to have, well, absolutely nothing as far as wealth and prosperity. And shhhh, capitalism is a dirty word. Heavens--they want to bring down corporations that pay the highest tax rate in the world and are owned by you and by me, investments that are determined by private decision, and by prices, production, and the distribution of goods that are determined mainly by competition in a free market by the very companies that create jobs.

  1. The PB Post reported on Purvis today. Go smack them down.
Does it matter WHEN it is reported or just that it was mentioned at all?
Are you in the video? I hate to see supposedly intelligent people being used in this fashion and being brain washed.

  2. Can I just point out the irony that Stand Up Florida's mailing address is on Corporate Way?

  3. Yea Lynne!
They're not attacking Mr West, they are simply asking questions and bringing to people's attention his poor record. You do it too. Are you attacking, just because you're asking questions and being critical?
The whole point of taking action like they did in Palm Beach is to bring attention, for it to be talked about over and over, to keep the issue in people's minds. Apparently, their actions are very successful in that regard.

  4. My questions are:
what have they accomplished, as they couldn't even run a day labor Center here in LW---the people they claimed to represent didn't trust them enough to participate.

They get a great deal of personal publicity, but they never stop any development. Why do they both unless their goal is personal publicity?

Doesn't big business get big by employing more people? Why wouldn't they advocate for big business unless they can't get past their own sloppy logic?

Thank you for allowing me to ask my questions.

  5. Lynn, I am shocked.
While some of us all along were saying that the socialist agenda purveyed in LW, primarily by Cara, Tsolkas and then implemented by Golden, Mulvelhill and certainly McVoy, was allowed too have too much 'voice' politically, you always seemed to defend them. You said that Cara was an asset to any Committee/Commission -
You hv been a big defender of Tsolkas regarding the CRB Board - ( and yes, yes I know...u're only standing up for people's rights.)
I'm not saying these individuals aren't bright - they really are. But their end goal, to me, never came close to what I and many envisioned for LW.
As a daily reader of your blog, would you please make a comment on how you feel about the ('they happen to be anarchists) socialist group in our town?
I'd so appreciate it, as I have been getting mixed messages from you of late. ( and of course, everyone has the right to change their mind, but I'd love to hear your seemingly amended thoughts on this)
And please, if u could avoid using the 'free speech' reason, it would be really helpful -
    Thank you.

  6. You've been getting "mixed messages from me?" Don't put me on anonymous. You are full of it.

The only one MIXED UP HERE IS YOU.

I don't like her politics overall because I can't stand anarchists. Stupid stuff. I probably don't like yours either. That is not to say that someone can't make correct decisions for this city. I have always said that she did just that, 50% of the time.

Personally, I wish that all these socialists, communists, anarchists, terrorists, religious whackos, etc. would move on and go away. Unfortunately, we have to deal with them all. We have a country that allows illegals to walk over our borders and will NOT DO A DAMN THING ABOUT IT. We have bigger issues than Cara.
