Titcomb back in the news

Comment Up
Attended the March 1 meeting in Lake Worth on
city manager candidates' rankings
even though the Mayor told us it was not a ranking. The
Human Resource Director told us that the top 5 were equal
even though they got a different number of votes.
All but McVoy voted for Titcomb.

Former elected official and Vice Mayor of Boynton Beach, James Titcomb, will have his interim city manager agreement discussed by Lake Park tomorrow night. He only signed a 30 day contract with Lake Park as he applied for the permanent city manager job here in Lake Worth.

Mr. Titcomb describes himself as an independent contract consultant and advisor to non-profits and governance sectors specializing in design, communications, graphic-industrial systems, brand marketing, political, government and public relations.

Titcomb's Background and qualifications:

Degree in Industrial Design, Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, NY
City Manager, North Palm Beach with a population of 13,000, July 2011 to January 2012
Executive Director, League of Cities, February 1999 to June 2011
A large list of community and professional service

  1. I think Dr. McVoy voted correctly on this one.

  2. He has 6 months of City Manager experience in a town of 13,000 people. Big flipplin deal.

  3. Thank you Peter for observing the obvious. We need a city manager with an abundance of city manager experience. Mr. Titcomb has been involved in politics and director of the League of Cities, a highly contentious and political organization, IMO. He probably has a good personality.

  4. Maybe marketing director would be a better position.

  5. I keep telling you. Fired city manager Susan Stanton had years of city manager experience, left Lake Worse worse off than when she got her and just accepted a temporary book keeper job that pays an hourly wage.
    When does Joe Kroll start?

  6. I keep telling you that you are totally wrong about our fired city manager. I keep telling you that we need someone with oodles of city manager experience. I keep telling you that we do not need a liar as our CEO. I keep telling you that we don't need a puppet to the "visionaries." I also am ashamed that you belittle someone when they are down fired because of dirty politics by a commission that can not lead. Go kick your dog or something.

  7. Joe Kroll for City Manager! He is such a go-getter! By the way, isn't that picture of the other guy Bornstein, not Titcomb?

  8. Lynn if Stanton was so great why are we now worst of then when she started?

In a city that is in crisis mode and broke would she totally refuse 6 Mil in settlement?

    Answer this please

  9. As we go by the advice that we pay our high priced lawyers, I can't answer that. What case in particular are you talking about?
