on Obamacare--
Two years ago, President Obama said this plan would lead to lower healthcare premiums for families and small businesses. He said it would reduce the deficit. He said it would protect patient choice and let Americans keep their doctors. And he said it would improve access to healthcare.
The fact is, healthcare premiums have increased by $2,200 for the average family.
The latest CBO estimates show the Obamacare will increase the deficit over the next decade.
It is now clear the Americans will not be able to keep their doctors. Medicare was slashed by $575 billion to fund Obamacare, meaning many doctors will no longer be able to afford to treat Medicare patients.
Worst of all, the unelected bureaucrats of the Independent Payment Advisory Board still have the power of life and death.
This is not true Lynn. My health care premimums went way up each year before the new health law. Since the law was passed the increase was about 10%. The difference is that now by 2014 any pre-existing conditions we have will be covered and preventative care is now covered. Also we no longer have a lifetime limit on benefits. These insurance companies only want to take our money and don't want to insure people with any existing conditions. If you are not 65 and get sick your screwed. What does West plan to do for folks who need health care and can't get it?
ReplyDeleteLike the man says, "Who you going to believe? Me? Or your lying eyes?"
ReplyDeleteYou could listen to what Allen West says the CBO says.
Or you could listen to what the CBO itself says:

If you can't follow all that, just look at the last chart: Over time, ACA reduces the budget by tens of billions of dollars over the next decade.
From 2013 through 2022, the CBO reports, the costs of ObamaCare come to $1.76 trillion — almost twice the phony original number.
ReplyDeleteIt gets worse. Annual gross costs after 2021 are more than a quarter of $1 trillion every year — until the end of time. That, for a new entitlement in a country already drowning in $16 trillion of debt.
Look at the charts, Lynn:
ReplyDeleteCoverage costs of about $180 billion annually.
Tens of billions of savings every year beginning in 2017.

ReplyDeleteLynn: You can rely on what Philip Klein says the CBO said. Or you can see for yourself what the CBO actually said.
ReplyDeleteTo put it another way: Everyone's entitled to their own opinion, but not to their own facts.
The charts say that annual costs are about &180 billion a year. The situation looks rather scary when checking thoroughly.
