The Visionaries

Trio-LOL VISION

As the new commission can keep its "vision" under wraps, even though some of it has now come to the surface (such as firing our top administrator, someone they do not like), the artist of this graphic wants to remain anonymous as well.

This, however, is the artist's vision of those who are now in control of our city and its destination and of some of the events over the last month: the sneaky firing of the city manager causing enormous expense and little to no public input and no awareness thus putting our city in a precarious situation; undue burden on staff to find a replacement of a permanent as well as interim city manager; the commission's uneasiness in trusting staff or any professional; appointing volunteers instead of hiring a national search firm to find a good city manager; allowing our beach park to be further commercialized by building a $6 million dollar building so that a bar can occupy 2/3rds' of the rentable space until 1am.

Right now we are a ship with half a rudder with a Finance Director with a heavy burden. Luckily Susan Stanton hired top professionals who will carry out their responsibilities to the best of their abilities.

Sort of like, "I have a Dream," the Visionaries have a "vision" and we all hope that it is revealed sooner rather than later. We have been told to forget the past and live the future, but as much as things change, they somehow always remain the same.

  1. So what's the big surprise? Isn't this what dictators do?

  2. Lynn, perhaps you can "spin" the first several parts about the "vision" parts so far and blame the new commission, but you can't spin the 2/3 beach takeover by a bar on them. That "longboat" sailed long before this commission was a twinkle in anyone's eye! Let's break it down, can we? 1st: the only thing that has happened is that hours of operation have been set by the commission
2nd: if the inference is that Johhny Longboats is/has or will get the lease, that has yet to be decided
3rd: related to #2 above, McVoy and Maxwell have made it very clear they are not necessarily thrilled with Johhny Longboats as a tenant for very different reasons
and 4th: it is in fact Mulvehill who is trying to steer this process related to her personally agendaed "pet project" as she couldn't care less at this point whether Johnny Longboats or little green men from mars get the lease as long as the leases get signed LIKE YESTERDAY so she can continue to milk her "pet project" through her self desired timeline of completion in time for her re-election at the expense of multi millions of tax/utility dollars!
In conclusion, when it comes to the casino project, its all about Suzanne Mulvehill and the use of millions of tax/utility dollars spent for her re-election campaign. Lynn, it's a shame that you are so bitter that you are willing to blame anything you can spin on the new commission. How is what ultimately what happens with the casino the new commission's fault? the fate of the project was conceived and delivered by the hands of Mulvehill and her former majority

  3. I have asked, on more than one occasion, to address the issue, not the writer. Don't come over here and call me bitter or any other name you want to use for that given moment because I might differ in an opinion. If this continues, no matter whether I agree with your message or not, it will not be printed.

Next, I agree with a lot of what you said. The fate of this casino and beach redevelopment IS in the hands now of the new commission. They are the ones allowing what is happening with the leases, the park's closing, etc.

I also agree that Maxwell and McVoy are looking at this differently. I happen to side with McVoy. Next, I agree with you on Mulvehill. She wants the leases signed no matter what. However, this has nothing whatsoever to do with any re-election effort. She and I just simply disagree on this one.

If you don't think that Longboats will get the lease then you are Lake Worth dreaming, a vision yet to be identified.

  4. The graphic is hilarious! OUCH!

  5. The graphic captured the Vice Mayor in all his boldness with the other two dwarfed next to him. He is the leader. I thought for sure the artist would have the subordinates kissing his ring.

  6. Maxwell has enough groupies kissing his ring.

  7. Is that the Kim guy who just died and his followers?

  8. No, this is the new vision, only problem is no one know what it is. TRIO-LOL. Now that is funny. Didn't she say that she had her own vision for Lake Worth? Right now it seems like it's Maxwell's vision. He's sick of Kicking the can down the road. People are much more fun.

  9. Too negative, too one-sided, not fair and balanced, are we ever going to be happy?

  10. Perhaps when people start doing things right.

  11. It's quite fair. Maxwell has been a pain for two years. He has risen to power so now he can be even more evil.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Next will be building heights.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Oh yeah, let us not forget the building height boogieman!

    ReplyDelete
  14. We can only hope the next item they address is building heights. I heard Maxwell wants to build 40 story office buildings all over town and that he has met secretly with Amoroso and Trio-LOL and both have his blessing. I heard Maxwell is also negotiating with clubs in South Beach and is planning on opening a 24 hour nightclub at the refurbished casino, the music will be heard all the way to Murray Hills and beyond!
Maxwell will use the payoffs he gets from all his followers to finance the POC then charge the city interest on his money. Next he is going to sell the golf course to developers so they can build condos and townhouses. The money from these payoffs will go towards paving over Bryant Park.
What a bunch of pissy whiny losers you all are.
Everyone knew that if the cabal lost their majority on the dais Stanton was a goner. If you all were so concerned you should have campaigned harder for Golden and Waterman. But then what would you all whine about?

    ReplyDelete
  15. We heard you whine for years. How does it feel to get it right back at ya? Let's just get some honesty in government, not bullies on the pulpit. Thank you.

  16. I agree, there was a big divide. Even I did not decide until the very last minute how I would vote. I vote for people I think I can trust. It doesn't always work out that way but we do our best.

As far as knowing Stanton would be fired, that was not what Triolo or Amoros said.

Some people voted because of one issue--the fire assessment and stepped out of the mold. Look where that got them.

You voted for people simply to overthrow the majority. Is that ever a really good reason? Now look what you've got. And we have 23 more month to go.

  17. anony at 2:56, bldg heights are definitely an issue. You don't think so? This has already been mentioned anony.

  18. The winners are still whiners.

  19. Scuttlebutt going around is that The Donald wants to build another 22 story Trump Towers on No. Golfview Rd facing the golf course and Scott M. will have a Penthouse donated by The Donald for passing it thru.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Good idea poster above. The Donald could also buy the Gulfstream Hotel and turn that into a Casino. A gambling place. Scott M. could be the bouncer and remove anybody he didnt like.

  21. The Vision was decided by TrioLOL, Amoroso and Maxwell before the election. They would not give their reasons for firing Stanton, but they decided before the election. I heard TriLOL and her lacky Zack say they would fire Stanton during the Neighborhood Association debates. Amoroso said he would wait and see before he made his decision. Did he wait? Did he give a reason? Thanks to the artist for reminding us what we know of the Vision so far. The Trio have their reason. Their decision is their reason. Lake worth deserves better.

    ReplyDelete
  22. TrioLOL and Amoroso promised to repeal the fire assessment. What are they doing about it? Maxwell complains about tax dollars going to the Casino project. How will he pay for his pet project- the industrial park? Lake Worth is watching.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Thanks to the artist for a great graphic! Right on.

    ReplyDelete
  24. The graphic is too negative? Not fair and balanced? The trio is keeping a secret. Let them tell us. What is their vision for Lake Worth? Thanks to the artist for a great graphic!

  25. The graphic speaks Truth to Power: Trio-LOL, Maxwell and Amoroso.

    ReplyDelete
  26. The Kim guy died. Pam rules ... I mean rides ... on Maxwell's thumb.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Should have campaigned harder for Waterman and Golden? TrioLOL and Amoroso ran with Zack's smear campaign and against the fire assessment. Zack did his dirty work and now he is gone. Let's see what happens with the fire assessment. Lake Worth is watching.

  28. "It's quite fair. Maxwell has been a pain for two years. He has risen to power so now he can be even more evil."

If that is the case where are the people from Dist 1 to run against Maxwell? Lynn lives in this district, she should run against him, she has enough opinions and expertise on so much in the city so she should run and be commissioner from there, maybe she will realize that it is easier to criticize than to actually hold office and please so many and make all the "right" choices on all. I am loosing faith here.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Oh, don't be so sensitive, Scott. Politicians have to take the good with the bad and all the knocks that come with some of your crappy votes. Vote "right," definitely not "left."

    ReplyDelete
  30. Getting rid of the majority in this case was absolutely the right thing. They had over 5 years and the end result was the city's broke and the reserves are gone. Apparently none of you have a problem with that. Funny how you can turn a blind eye to so many bad decisions over the past 5 years without a peep and now you're all up in arms over 1 decision. It reminds me of republicans that stood silent as Bush and Cheney ran up the deficit without a way to repay it, then started screaming about debt as soon as Obama took office.
Give it a break things will get better. Just be thankful Golden and Waterman got voted out. That's a great start. The rest will take care of itself. Mcoy and Suzie are just upset because they're lost without Stanton. They'll see the light soon enough.

    ReplyDelete
  31. 5 years is false. It was 3 years. 5 years ago we had the worst commission ever.

The only reason this dais was overthrown was because those elected played the game smarter and definitely meaner.

Commissioner McVoy and Suzanne Mulvehill are not "lost" without Stanton. One has an MBA and the other a Phd. The city might be hurting because of this bad political vote.
