  2. Who's the guy on the lower right supposed to be?

  3. Get over it and move on! This just is not funny anymore, I am loosing respect here.

  4. Show us the vision, King Maxwell ! Or was it only a dream? Great work by the graphic artist!

  5. The guy on the lower right is Peter Timm.

Next, I do not plan on "getting over it." So, I would suggest that YOU MOVE ON. OK? Do the world a favor and start to understand what's going on in this City. You want to keep your head in the sand--your right. This artist captured it, even the facial expressions. Priceless stuff.

I love political cartoonists! Most of the world does too. It is only you who seems to have a big problem. Go give Maxwell a big kiss and he'll get over it too. xxoo

  6. Losing respect? Yes. Hundreds of thousands of taxpayer dollars wasted when Maxwell, Triolo and Amoroso fired a respected, competent and professional City Manager. Let's see what they come up with. Thanks to the graphic artist for shedding light on LW politics. The artist has the true vision!

  7. It's not only the wasted money but it was the manner in which they did it. Even worse than that was the lie, the deceit. It was the glee that surrounded the entire episode like Christians being thrown to the lions from the Maxwell supporters. Revolting. And even worse, was the "heavy heart" soliloguy from Triolo.

    Talk about "respect?"

  8. Who is the one on the lower left?

  9. Did Triolo ever give a reason for firing the City Manager? Did Amoroso say he talked to the department heads before he voted to fire the City Manager? If so, who did he talk to? Did he give a reason for firing the City Manager? The decision to fire the CM has cost taxpayers well over $ 100,000 so far.

  10. Michael, you would ruin a wet dream.

  11. The guy on the lower left is Commissioner McVoy.

Next, Amoroso did say he talked to some department heads but he went around the Charter if he did. Personally I believe, if he talked to department chiefs, they were former/fired ones. He forgot to use the word "former."

See write-up on the right column as to the costs associated with this insurrection.

  12. All Triolo said was that she thought about it all weekend. This shows that she had prior knowledge of the act. Sunshine Law.

  13. I heard Triolo say during one of the debates that she would replace Stanton. No reason given. I believe it was the Mango Groves neighborhood association debate.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Let's hear what Triolo said before she voted to fire Stanton. Did she give a reason? Is her soliloquy in the commission meeting minutes?

  15. All I can say is read the Palm Beach Post editorials that address this commission and what they did. You think there are only two people who give a crap about what went on here? Wrong. Not.

  16. Peter Timm. haha. That's a good one as he always is running his mouth on everything.

  17. 1) Bad City Manager
    2) Not well respected
    3) Interim City Manager is being paid anyway as he is already an employee.
    4) Staff would have to review the resumes of the applicants if we pay $20k for a head hunter.
    5) Why do we pay travel and lodging for someone applying for the position?
    6) Bad City Manager (did I mention?)

    ReplyDelete
  18. You got it mixed up.
    1. Bad city commission
    2. Well respected by many just not incompetents and those with gigantic egos.
    3. Interim City manager does not want this job...already too much to do.
    4. True but what's your point? Collecting local resumes ok for the most "complex" city in the state of Florida? This is NOT about saving $20k.
    5. Good question. Ask the visionaries. When it comes down to the short list, we pay. Normal.
    6. Did I say Bad city commission?

  19. Hysterical photo. Too bad some people aren't taking it in the intended humor. Pictures are harmless, but if Scott starts speaking in Elizabethean English from the dias, duck.

  20. Michael work on your humor number one. Next, turn on a light bulb.

  21. Firing a chief executive officer is usually because the "company" has lost a lot of money for its shareholders. In this case, the city was downsized two years in a row, thus saving the city $9 million. What ever is this new vision they talk about? Do you think that they will ever tell anyone? I know. They will now settle with Peter Willard on the casino beach redevelopment for millions.

  25. Yes, a bad joke on the taxpayers. The Maxwell/Amoroso/Triolo vote to fire the City Manager has cost taxpayers 200,000 dollars so far. Let's see who they pick to replace her. Lake Worth is watching.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Lake Worth is watching. I love that one. Why weren't you watching before?
CEO's are fired ALL THE TIME for different reasons, not always financial, many, many times it's personal. HOW MANY FIRED CEO'S ARE READING THIS BLOG? Just what I thought.
"It's a bad joke". More like hiring Stanton to prove how "progressive" Lake Worth is was the bad joke.
"Hundreds of thousands of dollars wasted", this decision has cost taxpayers $200,000", "this has cost the city $100,000 so far". If you all were so concerned about the money you would really know how much it really cost instead of spreading lies and misinformation.
    GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT.
"Triolo thought about it all weekend. This shows that she had prior knowledge". This topic came up during campaigning so there was a good chance Stanton was going to be fired.
Lynn you're slipping. You responded anonymously to a post that you never posted. There are not many more than 2 people that care about this.
I've lived in Lake Worth over 15 years and there is no way in heck that this blog and those that post here are representative of the Lake Worth I know. Sorry. it's only a handful of people posting over and over. Maybe even Stanton herself. She's getting a nice cushy settlement from the taxpayers so she doesn't have to work. She can sit around and post on Lynn's blog all day on your dime.

  27. We also welcome people living in fantasy worlds such as the anonymous and very nasty mean poster above.

The commission will have cost this city close to $200,000 before it's all said and done. That is a damn fact. Why not learn something before you shoot from the hip.

Next, read the Palm Beach Post and its two articles on this subject. They have a huge following and have some clout even if you think what I say is frivolous and not worth a damn.

Take a freakin hike. I will continue to watch all of you who got their little panties in one big wad because Susan Stanton didn't jump when you told her to and who believe it is a fair thing to fire her because she disagreed with you.

  28. I thought you knew, those types don't read newspapers.

    ReplyDelete
  29. To the commenter who just went on a little rampage, do NOT bother coming over here with your crap. Thanks. Please, instead, go to one of the other blogs that is more compatible with your beliefs. Thanks, again.

  30. What's nasty and mean in the post at 8:21?
There are 3 different dollar figures your readers are throwing around, which one is correct? Or does it not matter to you?
You yourself have savaged the PB Post numerous times in the past whenever they print anything you don't agree with, now you want to use them as an example of journalistic excellence & integrity? O.K.
I never asked Stanton to anything for me, she never agreed or disagreed with me.
Maybe a closer open minded look at the matter would alleviate all of your manufactured outrage. Stanton, Golden and our 90 day mayor are gone because they tried to get rid of PBSO. Plain and simple.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Perhaps if you got your facts straight, you would be outraged as well. But that won't ever happen with some in this city.

I am happy to see "reasons" for Stanton's demise now surfacing. If you care to recall (you don't have Alzheimers do you?), the Commission did not go against PBSO. PBSO is doing a smashing job for LW as you can see by the many crimes. The Commission did not go against outsourcing the Fire. They should have. Bad decision.

And of course, I pick my fights with the Post as do you. Sometiems they get it exactly right as they did this time with the rash and stupid firing of our city manager because 3 people thought it easier to do that than to lead.

  32. Interesting... the graphic shows Maxwell as the king. Mayor Triolo is not even mentioned. Who leads this commission?

    ReplyDelete
  33. Great graphic! Maxwell ran without opposition in the last election. Now he leads the commission. Triolo was elected mayor and now Maxwell is King!

    ReplyDelete
  34. King Maxwell? Not exactly, though he led the firing of the City Manager and is now Vice Mayor. Who is leading this commission?

    ReplyDelete
  35. SCOTT MAXWELL IS LEADING THE COMMISSION. They need to wake up.
