Go get a job, says Granny at Glenn Beck book signing

Comment Up
Actually that senior citizen asked a very good question to the "occupiers" while they were there to hassle Glenn Beck-- "Why don't you get a job?"

See National Unemployment Statistics. Unemployment numbers are going down and the national average is now at 8.6% as of last month.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, in November, the unemployment rate declined by 0.4 percentage point to 8.6 percent. From April through October, the rate held in a narrow range from 9.0 to 9.2 percent. The number of unemployed persons, at 13.3 million, was down by 594,000 in November. The labor force, which is the sum of the unemployed and employed, was down by a little more than half that amount.

Granny has a point. So, Occupier, instead of wasting time screaming at a successful entrepreneur, go try and find a job. Work for a living instead of being a burden on society, collecting welfare, food stamps, unemployment and free-loading off your parents and maybe you might have a chance to be as successful as Glenn Beck.

  3. It would be nice if Cara Jennings and all her freeloader hippie friends would also stop doing this, they are part of this group and she was in Bryant Park that day, none of them work either. Freeloading off the government anyway they can, what does Peter, Cara, Lynn, and all those hippies do other than reek havoc in our society, putting up road block and demonstrations, they all need to go to the Whitehouse and the US Capital instead!

  5. Real rate is closer to 15%, with roughly four applicants for every job. You folks should turn off Fox News and come to an Occupy site and learn a thing or two for yourselves.

  6. Tell that to your friend, Pres. Obama. Perhaps he can go over to the Bureau of Labor Statistics and crack someone over the head for spitting out false info.

  9. No party can turn this country around. Until, as a nation we collectively look at our surroundings and our neighbors and see them not as a democrat or republican but rather as a neighbor. Someone who may have great ideas, someone who can be a partner in making this city better and until we treat others with the respect they deserve things will stay the same.
