Allen West on the one percenters

Comment Up
Let's stop blaming the one-percenters

  1. What a simpleton. As if the money and materials invested in yachts couldn't be put to use elsewhere, to the benefit of many more of us, and employing and rewarding workers in those uses.
West has no imagination. Except when it comes to Iraqi "terrorists."

  2. I get it Steve. You don't like patriots. I support Allen West. As far as a war criminal is concerned, The charges were ultimately referred to an Article 15 proceeding rather than court-martial, at which West was fined $5,000. an Article 15 is kind of a "mini-trial" conducted by the commander if someone commits a punitive offense under the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ), and the commander feels the offense is too minor to warrant a full-blown court-martial.

  3. His "patriotism"? Whatever. That means different things to different people.
It's his simplistic, wrongheaded thinking that offends.

  4. Steve, I get it. Why don't you find a blog that beats up on West. Wouldn't that be much more suitable for you?

  5. It all depends on where you are politically. Socialism is taking over this country so I can see why some would not like West.

  6. West will trip up and dissapoint us too, sooner or later, Lynn will probably bash him someday here too once he does, this piece he wrote is not all that great, what is he really doing? Is he stopping the waste? Is he cutting his pay or that of his colleagues in DC and all their benefits? He is a hypocrite too and before long all will be knocking him down too, he and all the politicians need to do more now to stop all the waste and get us back on track, this country is a mess financially and there is way too much corruption and corporate greed, the politicians in this country are doing little to control big business and stop having them rape and abuse the public, these politicians take tons of money from big business, I am sure West is one of them, the truth will come out someday. I hope he can start showing that he is doing something good for the USA, talk is cheap and sometimes I am seeing him not "be all he can be."

  7. If Allen West takes a position for which I disagree, I will mention it. I have already done that in the extension of the employee tax reduction. This was supposed to be temporary. Temporary is NOT a reduction that goes on this long and now they want one more year. this is all politics. Let's get it back to the 6.2%.

I don't agree with people just to agree.

  8. Actually Steve Ellman doesn't like anyone who isn't living off handouts. All the so-called "99%" and occupyers are nothing more than lazy losers who are so jealous that someone else knows how to earn money. They love the gov't handouts, so they should appreciate the small percentage of Americans who actually pay taxes. If they really represented 99% of America, there would be more 10 homeless drug addicts downtown WPB.

If someone earns a living, no matter how high that income is, they have the right to buy whatever you want with it. Hey Steve, don't be jealous because you can't afford a canoe, much less a multi-million dollar yacht. And while you're at it, go get a job. Your freakin 60 years old after all, about time you grow up and get to work.

  9. Ok, come on now people--Steve is entitled to his opinion. Let's not go calling people names. That's what they do on the other blog. Keep it nice.

  10. Why not blame it on the 1%ers. Socialists haven't taken all of their money yet.
