Well, it looks like the City Commission will have to interview for another member to the Planning & Zoning Board. David Brodie resigned on September 7...His explanation--Professional Obligations to his legal practice preclude his ability to serve with the regularity required for the board.
That is code language for: if you have a brain and common sense, you can't justify wasting your time with all the fools who are appointed to most of the city boards. Sounds like we lost one of the few smart appointees. LW heading further into the abyss.
ReplyDeleteP&Z has a lot of good people on it some with actual experience in that area.
ReplyDeleteBut what Is their goal?
ReplyDeleteIt is a very one sided board, with very one sided ideas.
The P&Z is a great, well qualified board now. This board is tough but fair and does it's homework. As a matter of fact, I would rather see THIS board as the COMMISSION!We have come a long way from the Wes Blackman days of "Developers helping Developers"!
ReplyDeletePlease explain what you mean by "well qualified board". Politically motivated appointments to city boards, specifically the PnZ board has resulted in stop everything mentality. What exactly is Linda Mahoney's background other than she supports the cabal?
ReplyDelete"stop everything mentality" certainly does not apply to the current P&Z board. "screw every citizen in Lake Worth that stands in our developer friends way"certainly did apply to the old P&Z under Blackman
