Quote of the Day - John Boehner
Comment Up "It isn't the greatest deal in the world, but it shows how much we've changed the terms of the debate in this town...the White House bid to raise taxes has been shut down."
The US AAA rating cannot be sustained unless there is true reform in government spending. This bill does absolutely nothing to reign in that spending and the true falacy of this all can be seen in holding on to the "base line" budgeting procedure whereby the CBO recognizes a 8 - 10% increase in each departments baseline for every year down the road. To be truly effective, it is the 'baseline' that needs to be addressed and not the savings after the 'baseline' has been instituted.
Hell, even the President's czar on the Job Council, GE CEO Jeffery Immelt, is recognizing this and is moving jobs to China at a blistering pace.
