Ramiccio has raised the most money so far with $14,970 in cash and checks, $500 in loans spending $3,358.35. 64% of his contributions have come from out-of-town. $1,000 was received from the PBC and Police Benevolent Assn. 27 out of the 47 or 57% gave $500-- from a maintenance worker, secretaries, housekeepers to auto dealers. Banyan Printing giving an In-Kind of $500.
Waterman is next raising $6,234.95, spending $1,426.17.
Maxwell raised $350, loan to herself of $5,300 and spent $4,199.25
Del Sol's cash/checks are $50 spending $15 on filing fee.
Of the $14.970. total contributions listed on Mr. Thomas Ramiccio's treasurers report, only $2,745.(18%) comes from citizens or business entities of Lake Worth. The remaining 82% comes from out of town.
ReplyDeleteWhat do these individuals expect to gain by attempting to buy the mayoral seat for him?
Thanks for that comment. When I added them up, I included ALL Lake Worth addresses as LW and of course, many were in the County.
ReplyDeleteIs this Tom up to his old tricks? Pages of $500 contributions. Let's subpoena some of these people. the con never ends in this city. Lisa's report doesn't look correct either. There is something missing here.
ReplyDeleteR.J.
The surprising thing is Tom didn't even try to hide this. It was easier to report this way. Someone call some of these people up.
ReplyDeleteInteresting that Waterman got $1000 ($500 + $500) from Golden's in NY. Money from Boca, Lantana, West Palm Beach, Singer Island, $300 from McVoy's wife, Ft. Lauderdale, Delray...follow the money folks.
ReplyDeleteI like the way these campaigns are strategizing these reports and hiding the money or where it came from. Ramiccio is a master at this game. At least Waterman's contributors are legitimate and they actually gave the money. Golden's in NY are Jo-Ann's family. McVoy's wife lives here and pays taxes here and she is a vote. The majority on this commission wants Waterman in order to keep this city moving in the right direction, prosperity for all.
ReplyDeleteI would like to be able to follow the money. It's true. Campaigns are getting smarter on hiding the sources, however, one of these times it will all slip up on you clever folks. If I had the time, I would pursue. So much for any Ethics in Lake Worth. To even suggest that Waterman is in some sort of play to play by you asking people to follow the money in her campaign, is dirty pool and a bunch of crap. We know politics is just that.
ReplyDeletePropserity for all? You do know that the majority of residents in Lake Worth live below poverty levels right? You do know that Lake Worth has the highest percentage of children that live in conditions below what's acceptable anywhere else right?
ReplyDeleteThe majority of this commission want Waterman because she'll tow the cabal line from day one. They don't need or want anyone asking tough questions. They need the path of least resistance. Whatever the city manager says, goes.
Prosperity for everyone? They're trying the keep the city a dump for everyone. So why you all talk about the b.s. in politics don't forget to include the b.s. that this commission is turning the city around. Drive around the neighborhoods surrounding downtown, including east of Dixie and then talk about prosperity for everyone. That is the biggest line of crap I've heard from you guys yet.
Did you even know that the entire country has been in a recession? Have you heard that? Do you consider that for one second as you criticize?
ReplyDeleteThis Commission has made all the right moves to get this city on track and it will be ready in 2 years as the Casino and beach redevelopment is completed. We will have our own water source, the most precious commodity in the world.
The average income in Lake Worth has always been above poverty.
U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis, the Sunshine State’s per capita income (PCI) was $39,272 in 2010 — 96.8 percent of the national average of $40,584.
It is not anyone's fault in Lake Worth that people making less than the national average migrate to Lake Worth. People live in a city that they can afford. We have an abundance of rentals. Speak to the slum lords. Speak to the people trying to pull their scams during the housing bubble and when prices were artificially inflated...those who bought properties to flip and then the crash.
The City is a dump for a myriad of reasons that have nothing to do with the commission or our city manager.
That I agree with. The CRA has never done what we voters thought they would do and get rid of the blight in the CRA district. The blight continues and gets worse and the stupids in this city blame it on something else. Will the CRA ever do its job? The answer is obvious. Take them back. Have Ramiccio go after this group. Sure like a hole in his head. He depends on developer money and scratching backs.
ReplyDeleteNot a fan of the CRA or most of the people on it.
