Special Election in Lake Worth

Comment Up
Mary Lindsey just spoke in front of the Commission about moving our elections from November to March. HOWEVER, three year terms is absolutely out of the question. Why in the world do we want inept, politicians in office any longer than two years? Look at the harm Jeff Clemens did while he was in office 2 years and 8 months...8 months longer because we changed from March to November elections.

Citizens Come First Political Action Committee campaigned against 3 year terms and won in the general election on January 29, 2008 by 66.44%. I believe that the outcome of this vote tells it all.

A special election has been set for June 28.

  1. They should move the elections from November to March! Why can't we vote on that in June?

  2. We did vote on this. As I recall, those who wanted to change it to November won by 260 votes. It was an easy sell by the Commission as EVERYONE equates November as the month for elections. Ask Nadine why she wanted this so badly.

  3. Problem is we elect new idiots to replace the old and keep old idiots too long. Next we will have Cara back with her 3rd world socialist agenda touting herself as a responsible hard working conservative. They all lie and say whatever it takes to get elected.

  4. It really burns my butt that the Commissioners don't acknowledge the people that campaigned door to door for them, but they seem to hang on every word that comes from a person who is doing everything that she can ,including being behind the dirty tricks that Rene Varela pulled,to get rid of these SAME Commissioners!
