Lights Out

Comment Up

Speaking of the electric utility upgrade, we had no power this morning for a little over one hour. To add insult to injury, no one answered at the emergency 877 number during the entire time. No one got greeted by a machine message with any explanation other than to dial one for English.

Everyone understands that we will have outages from time to time although we never understand why. Not to be given any explanation as to when the power might be restored is NOT good customer service. In fact there is NO customer service. We deserve an explanation especially when Lake Worth power is the highest commercial rate in the State of Florida.

  1. This is from the LW web site--

How to Report a Power Outage - 4LIGHT0
Lake Worth Utilities has launched a state-of-the-art electrical outage management system to manage and improve the reporting of electrical outages throughout the City’s service area.

This automated system will address the three most common concerns when outages occur:

Confirmation that Lake Worth Utilities is aware of an outage,
Information on the cause of an outage, and
Estimation on the duration of the outage.

The number to call is 1-877-454-4480 or 1-877-4LIGHT0.

  2. what happened to the “call center” they implemented? The reason being is nobody at LW has a clue on how to make it work, what a shock.

  3. I had the same issue with the 877 number was on music hold from 15 minutes to 8am till 10 min. After when about the same time the power came on and I hung up.....HOWEVER the funning thing is I went to the AT&T phone book to the government pages and saw every municipality listed including Lantana but no section for Lake Worth....I have sent communication to AT&T Business Offices to find out why that would be...Hopefully I can update from that question soon.
