Quotes from Stanton Review

Comment Up

  • Varela: I have a gut feeling that there are signs of big problems in the future. He then tells the City Manager to "Communicate and tell people that it will be okay...people fear change."
  • McVoy: Varela wants someone who is a Mother figure to tell people that all is okay.
  • Golden: It's easier to throw rocks at a train than to drive the train.
  • Mulvehill: Look at the glass as half full rather than half empty.
  • Maxwell: I did not have enough time to get the matrix in on time because Susan Stanton did not use the right format.

  1. Its amazing we have so many bloggers and they are all "doom and gloom" sarcastic and negative postings. For once we would like to see a blog that Cheers for our city....To set a positive tone for our city and for God's Sakes....Just blog about the good stuff in our city....We challenge all of you the "Bloggers" to put your darn words where your fingers typing are. When is the last time you got your hands dirty to become a solution and not a complainer about this City????

If not posted I know that you only care to complain but not become a citizen that wants to make this community, this city, this Greater Lake Worth Area a better place to live! That is what you need to focus on! But then again I guess if its not controversy or negative you bloggers just will not stop!

  2. You must sit around and read comic books all day. Beaver the Cleaver or something. Is truth only in Sunday school? When you get to the point that we have a beautiful unblighted neighborhoods and everyone is prospering, then get on your social bandwagon.

  3. She is taking on things never before taken on by any city manager. If she can crack the unions, she has my vote.

  4. I read all the blogs and I must say Wes' and Mary's are the most negative of all. They continually harp on McVoy like he doesn't have a brain. Now they are saying he takes direction from Jennings and he calls you the story teller. He should have a phd like Mcvoy.
