Instead of keeping and spending money in THIS country, something that would build up OUR economy, President Obama has now devised a way to send more of it offshore. Travel to and fro will be easier as well. Obama said that his Cuban policy does not have to have Congressional approval.
Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, R-Miami, the new chair of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, assailed the revision, saying they "will not help foster a pro-democracy environment in Cuba. "These changes will not aid in ushering in respect for human rights,'' Ros-Lehtinen said. "And they certainly will not help the Cuban people free themselves from the tyranny that engulfs them.
These changes undermine U.S. foreign policy and security objectives and will bring economic benefits to the Cuban regime."

ReplyDeleteOne God and One World, we need to stop all the division in this world and all join forces and try to make all work for the good of all us in this entire world. God made one world, man made all these separate countries and all this division. It is time for change, we need to start turning all this division, restrictions, and hate to LOVE!

ReplyDeleteToday we honor MLK and all he stood for, for unity and equality, we need less division in this world and among all people. Gandhi once said: I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ." We need to get along, it has been said that we need to speak words that are sweet so that if we ever need to eat them, we would not want them to taste bitter. God bless Lake Worth, the USA, and God's World, our Earth and all His people.
ReplyDeleteGhandi was not a Christian. We all are for peace but other nations do not cooperate.
ReplyDeleteI liked all I heard yesterday about MLK yesterday, about how we are here in this world to serve and build others up, that is really true, the way one should measure success in life is by what they can do for others, not by all the material wealth or possession they can gain. Building people up, accepting them they way they are, even if spiritual and hopeful, being loving and kind, that is what we should all do and how we should treat others, even the Cubans or any other group or person.
ReplyDeleteIn an ideal world that would be good. However, we live among evil people who want to kill us for whatever reason they deem important. Muslims only believe in their religion and those who defy it (infidels) are subject to being killed. By being loving and kind, Christ was crucified. I say, this is a violent world and no matter how much preaching is done on this matter, there will always be people like those who brought down the World trade Center killing 3,000 of our citizens in the most generous and loving country on Earth no matter what some in the world want to think about us.
