Lunar Eclipse

Barbara Jean reminded me that we will be experiencing a Lunar Eclipse and suggested that I get up prior to 2:40 am and photograph the moon as it passes almost dead-center through Earth's shadow. Instead, I have posted the above graphic taken in 2003 so that you get an idea of the color.

The eclipse begins at 1:33 am. If anyone wants to stay awake for this event, plan on being out there around 2:41 am when the Moon will be in "deepest shadow, displaying the most fantastic shades of coppery red."
