A similar truck just rolled through my condo community yesterday. As it didn't have the City of Lake Worth logo on it, I got curious and called the company, Kann, located in Guttenberg, Iowa. I talked with Roger Twake who said that the loader was driven here from Iowa and was being tried out by Lake Worth.
I asked him the approximate price of something like this. He first gave me an estimate for the chassis at $120,000 so I then asked him, "what does the entire truck cost?" "Close to $200,000," he said. I then asked if the City was leasing or purchasing and he didn't know but continued on by saying that this front loader is on a 3 to 4 day trial basis and Joe Kroll is his contact man.
