Arizona 1070 and the Lake Worth City Commission

Comment Up
The only one standing up for The Constitution

Last night was just another example of elected officials NOT representing the interests of those who elected them to office…not upholding their oath of office. It was shameful. We have spent so much time on a Resolution that was too controversial to be even on the agenda and one that was not our business. It is not supported by the majority here or anywhere else but the Resolution to reject Arizona 1070 passed on a 4 to 1 vote.

Two weeks ago, Commissioner Jennings was concerned about supporters of U.S. law packing the Chamber. This is her tactic when she wants us all to believe that her way is the right way (remember Michael Singer?) and they were all there in full force last night…even a Nun, a Guatemalan who is now a citizen but supports the breaking of our laws, young Socialists who haven’t had the chance to get out of diapers yet and a young man who said he was undocumented. I keep asking, where is ICE? They all believe they are the only ones who have seen the “light.”

This is NOT about social justice. It is NOT our responsibility to support the world. It is about LAW, not chaos, not communism, not Che Guevara and certainly not about Plymouth, Jamestown or the Civil War. What a crock.

We heard from people last night telling us we were like Hitler…that there were such things as bad laws and this one (Arizona 1070) was so bad that it offended their sensibilities. Oh well. This country is all about laws. We elected people who made them and continue to do so today, unlike Hitler. That was not a democracy; it was a dictatorship. Under Hitler, they would not be able to spout their social agenda. They have, however, taken his lead in believing that the rest of us are wrong to follow the law and offer nothing but dictatorial diatribe.

Under Hitler, he blamed all Germany’s financial problems on the Jews as these Socialists are blaming all the plight of the poor and the illegal on United States Laws that are either wrong, unfair, unjust, or discriminatory. They use examples of Plymouth and the Civil War to support their argument of this unfairness.

We heard from those who consider all citizens here as nothing but “whitey,” racists and Xenophobics. Do they even know what that word means? They implied that they had some inner truth—they had been there---been to the border and have seen the horror. Yes, we all know about the drug trafficking, the murders and the insurrection by those throwing our laws up in our face on a daily basis.

I ask all of them to cross the border of any country in this world without documents. It was President Obama who said, “We need to ensure that illegals are held accountable: learn English; pay back-taxes; that they get at the back of the line for citizenship. He wants accountability for "everybody."

Last night someone called me to task for wearing a t-shirt in support of Arizona…said it was racist…even the Mexican colors. Well, frankly, I don’t know what the colors of Mexico are and don’t care. I got to pick out either a yellow t-shirt or an orange. I went for the flaming color as that is how this issue affects me. When I used the “back of the bus” comment, they jeered. Well, speak to the President of the United States. I stole the idea from him...he used the word "line;" I used "bus." Everything is "racist" to these people, their only argument for breaking United States law.

Bottom line, all of you law breakers will not win. The majority of people really do understand that we are a nation of laws and they are good and just laws. When they are not, they are challenged in the Courts. Everything is about proper process. Laws are supposed to protect us from people like you. We want you to do it all the correct way, not your way. Your way has no standing.

The dais should not be a "bully" pulpit for the New World Order or Commissioners' personal opinions and beliefs, but it was last night.

  1. A message to our Commissioners who voted against upholding United States law: You are here to represent the legal residents of Lake Worth. You don't represent Finnish ,German, Venezuelan ,etc., interests while you sit in that seat on the dais. What you do on your own personal time is nobody's business but your own.Again, while sitting in that seat ,you represent THE CITIZENS, and not yourself. You are supposed to leave your own personal bias at the door of City Hall. What you did Tues night was despicable, and showed that none of you respect the United States of America. You four are a disgrace to this country.
