Ramiccio with more Political Ambitions?

Political campaigns seem to be starting earlier and earlier. Everyone wants their foot in the door and enough time to get their ducks in a row and contributor lists in order. As politics is absolutely crazy in the City of Lake Worth from every perspective, we checked out the candidates who participated in the recent candidate workshops at the Supervisor of Elections Office. Lo and behold we found that Tom Ramiccio had attended three of them. Three!! The Supervisor says that the presentation is beneficial if you are a candidate, a political consultant or managing a campaign. There have been five workshops, one each month since the first of the year.

As Tom knows everything he needs to know about running for political office being a former Mayor and all, we got curious. Why would he feel he needs to learn more about being a candidate? Doesn’t he know it all?

Perhaps he does want to be Mayor again, who knows? He never changed his license tag after his term ended that said "LW Mayor." He did suggest last year that he was going to run for Mayor but that term has passed and Rene Varela is now our Mayor. Perhaps it is the 2011 election he covets. Maybe he sat through three workshops at the Supervisor of Elections Office only to promote the company for which he works, Banyan Printing, and he was familiarizing those attendees with everything Banyan has to offer as to their printing needs. Politicians always figure out the angles.

When I called the Supervisor of Elections office today, someone did verify that he did try to solicit business while attending the workshops and they told him to cease. He did. He did, however, sit through 6 hours of candidate workshops.

Will you be running again, Tom?
