Lake Worth Security Breach Cover-Up

Comment Up
William Coakley, Mayoral Candidate
Owner/Operator of lakeworthmedia.com

Last night, Bill Coakley was the first one to speak during public commentary, giving the Commission hell for what happened regarding the security breach and the coverup of same.

"City managers get the report they pay for. And this really demonstrates an essential public danger. When the city manager is covering up a public safety issue and is then allowed to seize control and steer the investigation away from the central issue of who broke into the computer and instead makes every desperate effort to discredit the two men who reported the security breach... then it's pretty clear she should come under investigation as well."

Go to Lake Worth Media and read more on the security breach at our power plant. You too, Mayor.

  1. What security breach? The mayor says it was a hoax and says these guys should have been fired.

  2. If Coakley is so sure there is a coverup why don't you guys hire an investigator and lawyer and take some action? This is obviously an attempt to slander the city manager the same way he slanders everyone else. No proof no backup just a bunch of innuendo.
    Typical of you guys

  3. Who is "you guys?" Why should any citizen hire anyone? We, as citizens, depend on our city management to do the right thing. How do you figure the right things was done in this case? Coakley does not come out with anything without the facts.

  4. Three adult professionals thought that there was enough of a threat to risk their jobs, and public ridicule. Even if this was a "hoax", their fears should have been taken seriously until there was an investigation. They should have been thanked , not fired , for bringing a potential threat to the attention of their boss.In the atmosphere that we apparently have in Lake Worth, if I as an employee saw something suspicious, even if I thought it was something serious,I would keep my mouth shut! These men have had their reputations ruined because the city didn't do the correct, intelligent,NORMAL thing, that should have been done. They IMMEDIATELY went into cover-up mode, which begs the question- who are they covering up for ? Shame on Lake Worth. Katie Mcgiveron

  5. Staff is digging a big hole for themselves for trying to get a case against Andres Reyes. These people should be fired for what they have done to these 3 employees. What about the woman who just resigned because she thought she was going to be fired. It is disgusting what is going on and the city manager leading the assault.

  6. When McGow can compile a following such as the likes of Jim and Wes, he must know that he has finally arrived in Lake Worth. Congrats, Tom.

  7. Wes keeps saying his pants are wet. Are we sure that we want someone like this as Commissioner? Diapers, indeed.
