The $5 million dollar carrot is rotting

Comment Up
This is what has held up our beach since 2002...a $5 million dollar carrot. The County is giving us orders on how we can use this money that we have been paying on for 7 years. This agreement between Lake Worth and the County is for 30 years. No where in it does it say that we can NOT have decal parking--just that any part of this money cannot be used for Lake Worth decal permit holders.

Okay then, Commissioners. Figure this one out. Since you want to screw up our parking at the beach, do something here for the residents you represent. Decal parking has been in existence here for multi-decades--longer than a few of you have been alive.

This carrot has been dangling before us for 7 long years. Palm Beach County has given us its message--Our way or forget it--Lake Worth citizens continue to pay for all the expenses and will have no special privileges at their own beach.

Also on the Agenda tonight is the approval for over $1.32 million for various items. Come on out and see your City in action.

  1. What to you think about Cara representing Lake Worth at meeting with the county?

What do you think about the Golden's comment to a concerned resident's problem with crime? "You know, we all have to get used to change. Manny has to get used to living in a ghetto until things pick up around here."

Ghetto's have a way of spreading far and wide. Is your community next and College Park.

This election is very, very important Lynn. No more games.

  2. Cara is the best choice with PB County. No one else up there could negotiate better than she.

Golden's remark was highly inappropriate and a big mistake, in my opinion. Frankly, I was shocked.

  3. Everyone can come out with a remark that they wished they never said. This was just plain dumb but Joanne is still the better alternative.
