Smart strategy, maybe. But his execution? Total disaster. “The Democratic Party needs a wake-up call!” Booker yelled, abandoning his desk to pace the aisle like a tent revival preacher.
He kept hammering the same point: “We are standing at a moment where our president is eviscerating the Constitution of the United States of America, and we’re willing to go along with that today.”
The problem? His fellow Democrats thought Booker was the one who needed the wake-up call and hey let him know it. He screamed more.
