Revoke ABC, NBC's FCC Licenses for Dem Bias
Continuing his crusade against leftist mainstream media outlets ABC and NBC for being "simply an arm of the Democrat Party" and a "threat to our democracy," President Donald Trump is renewing the threat of revoking their broadcast licenses."Why is it that ABC and NBC Fake News, two of the absolute worst and most biased networks anywhere in the world, aren't paying millions of dollars a year in license fees," Trump wrote in the second of two Truth Social posts.
"They should lose their licenses for their unfair coverage of Republicans and/or conservatives, but at a minimum, they should pay up BIG for having the privilege of using the most valuable airwaves anywhere at anytime!!!
"Crooked 'journalism' should not be rewarded, it should be terminated!!!"
FCC Chair Brendan Carr said in April, while license revocation is an extreme punishment — what he termed the "regulatory death penalty" — it remains within the FCC's toolkit for broadcasters who fail to serve the public interest. He said that they have a public-interest obligation that has not been enforced.

DeleteFor decades, the American right and the Republican Party held themselves up as the defenders of individual citizens, corporations, and state and local governments against intrusive control from Washington. But where Ronald Reagan joked that the nine most terrifying words in the English language were I’m from the government, and I’m here to help, Trump’s credo is “I’m from the government, and I’m here to take over.” The debate in America is no longer about whether socialism can gain a foothold. It’s whether the socialism that dominates will be progressive or right-wing.
ReplyDeleteThe self-described socialist Senator Bernie Sanders is, in a rare case of agreement with Trump, on board with the Intel deal, but the arrangement has enraged some Trump allies. “This is actual socialism happening by a Republican administration,” Erick Erickson, the veteran conservative commentator, fulminated. “You may be comfortable with socialism. You may decide you like socialism, because someone from the Trump administration wants socialism, but my God, people, what have we been fighting for for the last decade?”
ReplyDeleteErick Erickson and Rand Paul are full of BS. This has nothing to do with socialism. It is a capital investment and Intel is up 11%. It is extremely important that our chip manufacturers succeed and that we take a leadership position in that field.
ReplyDeleteTrump is not taking over. He is saving inner city lives. He is doing the job that Dem Mayors are refusing to do. The Dem status quo of death is no longer going to be the norm.
