In a staggering financial feat, Kamala Harris's presidential campaign, despite amassing and spending over $1.2 billion, did not succeed in winning the election.According to Daily Mail, the campaign's prominent spending on celebrity endorsements and lavish event productions could not secure a victory.
The campaign's financial journey began with significant investments in media and public engagements. Notably, Oprah Winfrey's Harpo Productions received $1 million on October 15, after Winfrey hosted a town hall event in September supporting Harris.
Winfrey's involvement peaked when she appeared at Harris's final rally in Philadelphia, a star-studded event also featuring Lady Gaga, Ricky Martin, and Katy Perry. This was one of many high-cost events that punctuated Harris's campaign trail.
