Maxwell and Triolo Scratching Backs

Comment Up

Now our local politicians (Pam Triolo and Scott Maxwell) are getting involved in Palm Beach County Politics. They are using the highly political neighborhood associations to further their end.  This is a "you scratch mine and I'll scratch yours" pay-back time for what Shelley Vana did when she voted to bulldoze John Prince Park for corporate America...having the Atlanta Braves ruin John Prince Park at her direction.  And we can't forget her votes to approve every major development in Palm Beach County to its detriment, especially the western communities and the Ag Reserve. She is also good at fundraising, thus her appeal to Maxwell and Triolo. What exactly has she done for Lake Worth?  She also voted to increase your taxes.

Shelley Vana is running for the office of Palm Beach Property Appraiser and because it is an elected position, she believes that it is "political." In actuality, this office needs someone with experience as it is highly technical.  Dorothy Jacks is that person who has 27 years of experience and who is an expert in her field, not a politician. Jacks said 18 property appraisers across the state have endorsed her, as have two of Vana’s colleagues on the county commission, Priscilla Taylor and Paulette Burdick.

We believe that Maxwell and Triolo should be fully concentrating on the City of Lake Worth, solving it's crime, slum, blight and roads rather than engaging in outside politics.

Read Scott Maxwell's solicitation letter where the fundraiser will be held at Callaros, a downtown restaurant that supports the Atlanta Braves ruining our county park. Another "You scratch mine and I'll scratch yours" situation. Also note, he misspelled Vana's first name:

No one trusts most elected officials anymore. I agree. Vote Jacks and vote for Drew Martin for county commission.

Absolutely. Agree with the above at 9:01.
What A hole skum bags we have here. The fat
monkey must be Maxwell.
They are ruining our city while padding their
own pockets. Shelly Vana for prop appraiser is
laughable. The only thing she knows about property
is how to use it to her own advantage including the
Agricultural Reserve.

I will never understand how these people got reelected and by such a wide margin. The other candidates were just too weak. Ryan Hartman was a joke.

I thought I was smarter but I learned a big lesson--I will, in the future, do my own vetting and not rely on anyone else.

HIGHLY inappropriate for Maxwell to do this! Vana has NO experience in this field. I will be voting for Jacks. I will also be voting for Drew Martin!
If we don't start putting better people into office (You know people who don't think it's OK to destroy a county park for Billionaire baseball owners)we are going to make Palm Beach County unfit for human habitation.

Yea you go ahead and do your own vetting because that will make a huge difference in the crap candidates you keep supporting. That worked for a couple of years but you might as well accept the fact that you and the naysayers lost big time. You supported clowns simply because you hate the "dirty dozen". Now the naysayers lost their grip on the city forever and the only things you have left to do is stand on the outside looking in, make false accusations and call people names. Quite the life you made for yourself.

Shelley Vana threw our wildlife, our park and our neighborhoods under the bus. For what? No economic studies support baseball stadiums as making good economic sense. In fact quite the opposite. So we have to ask WHAT IS THE REAL REASON that our elected officials are supporting this self-assisted suicide of Palm Beach County??? Katie Mcgiveron

CORRUPTION is extremely difficult to eradicate. Things have a way of changing in politics. And the only people calling others names and stomping on people are you and your bully friends.
We will continue to write the truth and the facts.
I made a great life for myself...honesty is important and obviously something you lack.

didn't vote for the three and will not vote for anyone they support, when this blows up on them they will be alone whoever keeps saying your friends are calling out names when they brush their teeth in the morning hope they look close

I don't understand how not supporting the baseball stadium makes one a naysayer, anarchist, or weirdo who is trying to "hold the city back". Jeesh! Some of us just want to preserve the land and wildlife we have left. How is that so suspect and unwholesome?

Vote Dorothy Jacks and Drew Martin.

Retire corrupt Shelley Vana.
