Waterbird at Lake Worth Golf Course

Comment Up

I could not identify this water bird so I asked expert birder, Gael Silverblatt. She informed me that it is an immature Yellow-Crowned Night Heron. These birds live in or near wetlands—on the coast along islands, mangroves, and barrier beaches. So what better place to visit than our own Lake Worth Lagoon and beautiful golf course?

That is one bird I've never seen either. Thanks. I play at the LW club all the time. Great place.
