Another thing dying in Lake Worth?

Comment Up

Right smack in front of our City Hall, the pride of our city--dead plants. It looks like they have had some help to look like this as we have had lots of rain.

At City Hall/ They were letting the bushes and trees go at the beach too. maybe they put a chemical on them because they are going to replant with native?

For the most part, the CM is incompetent, they cannot do much right and waste so much. It is sad how this city looks today, so blighted and uncared for, what ever happened to codes cleaning up this city? All the plants they planted up at the beach died too as they never took care of them correctly when they planted them. We need a CM who can manage and run this city better, he is not doing a good job, this city looks worse and worse.

To bad MB was not around when the beach went before the Commission, I am sure we would have had sprinklers for the plants, footers for the building, and the Sea Wall would have been looked at, not forgotten, to crumble as it is..

Oh sure he would have... The plants are dying right in front of him.

Have NAs or volunteer committees ever gotten together to take care of things like this?
Everyone loves to complain, but couldn't some of you get off your butts and put some gloves on and do a little weeding/watering? For the good of the town ?

We pay a grounds crew to take care of this. What about them getting off their butts rather than the citizens who already pay them to do the job?

Who is this "we" you speak of. Most property owners don't pay City taxes, which is why things like this go unattended. We simply don't have the money to pay for these services. More people should pay taxes and that might help.

All property owners pay exactly what they are billed. So, let's not go with that excuse.
Let those who are hired to do their jobs like maintain the casino, find someone for the upstairs space, etc., etc. and water the foliage.

Juan Ruiz needs to be fired. The man is too incompetent to perform the simplest of duties!!

He is not in charge of grounds.
