Dishonesty is part of the culture at PBSO?

Comment Up

Sheriff's deputies in Palm Beach, Fla., don't lie and plant evidence because they're particularly corrupt or desperate to make an arrest—they do it as a way of life, according to a deputy who spoke anonymously. DC Post caught up with him after he posted a blog on a police tactics website saying he keeps a "small plastic dime baggie with Cocaine in residue" to plant on "mouthy drivers, street lawyers, [and] a--holes." The deputy, who has 15 years' experience, provided proof of his employment at the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.

Glad you put the question mark in, Lynn. It's easy to say things if you are anonymous.Maybe we should be looking at our judges, and our lawmakers. It must be frustrating to be in law enforcement, do the hard work to make an arrest ,and know that the criminals will probably be right back out on the streets the next day.Did my Nephew get hassled by some real a-hole JERKS wearing the PBSO uniform for the sole reason that he was driving an older ,beat up truck out on 441 in Wellington? Yes. He was in fear of his life ,as a matter of fact. My Nephew ,great kid, just kept his head down, said yes sir, no sir, but was still in fear that he would get beat up or worse. He got stopped on the same strech of 441 four times in one month. Never got a warning,a ticket, nothing. He just drove a vehicle that wasn't quite up to Wellington standards. The last time my sister, his MOM was in the car. When she looked over and asked the officer "Why did you stop my son"? the PBSO guy just about crapped his pants. Uh-oh. Jerko wasn't dealing with a teenager anymore!!! On the opposite spectrum was PBSO officer Callahan that came out and talked to my Mom after she was almost scammed by a con group. This guy was understanding, just the best ever. There are good and bad people in every profession. The good cops FAR outweigh the bad ones. It's just that the bad ones carry a gun. Katie Mcgiveron
