Castro's the Cause not the Embargo

Obama just can't make one good decision...not one!

Resuming relations with Cuba is all about shutting down GITMO to relocate terrorists to other parts of the world (mostly Muslim) for them to be eventually released to fight us again. There are only 127 prisoners left there. Obama can simply change policy and all is acceptable?  It has nothing to do with anything else but Obama fulfilling his promise to close Guantanamo Bay.  Now how sick is that?

We have a lot of bleeding hearts here...some are younger folks who don't know the history of Cuba and what has occurred there. Some just don't like any emotional strain and say we should just get along with everyone even if they do be-head us. A lot of it is the liberal Obama press. They all apologize for the United States and Cuba's  impoverished conditions and blame it on our embargo. They try to justify poverty saying that poverty exists in countries all over the world.  Hell, they say, we have poor people right here in the U.S. of A. Cubans went through a revolution that caused tens of thousands of deaths, millions of refugees, the loss of all liberties. People left their country in droves in order to be free and left their property and possessions behind. Castro promised to improve the life of ALL citizens. He didn't and hasn't nor will he ever.

Cuba hasn't cared about the United States in 50 years.  So why is Obama reaching out? Is this just plain ignorance or something more sinister? There are reports that Russia is now going to open the Lourdes base which is 28 square miles and will have up to 1,500 KGB and GRU military intelligence officers there.

The United States does not block Cuba's trade with other countries. The embargo is in effect for many reasons one of which is the $6 billion in financial claims that Cuba owes our country. We are the 5th largest trader to Cuba with Cuba importing 6.6% of goods from the United States. Source:  Wikipedia.

Now Cuba has condemned and arrested some protesters BEFORE they even demonstrated. Fifty-three years of tension between Cuba and the United States is no different today than it was then and it never will be until communism is no longer an option and democracy is prevalent in Cuba and people have basic rights.

Marco Rubio knows what he's talking about when he says, “What’s hurting the Cuban people is not the embargo — what’s hurting the Cuban people is the Cuban government."
