Double Rainbow earlier this morning

Thanks to two friends who called me this morning about the rainbow--I would not have known about it as it was behind my building. One thing that most people never notice is that the sun is always behind you when you face a rainbow. The other thing is that the center of the circular arc of the rainbow is in the direction opposite to that of the sun. The rain, of course, is in the direction of the rainbow and it was sprinkling slightly as I took this photo.

Thanks Lynn, love these, by the way, there was another double rainbow this evening too around 6:20pm over Lake Osborne from the west heading toward the city. Last week we also saw a double rainbow over the ocean at the beach in the evening, they seem to be happening a lot here- I have seen three in about a week now. What does it mean to have double rainbows? Some kind of good luck for Lake Worth I think. What a great city we live in and what great people too like you, love that you care so much and share so much. May God bless you always Lynn.

Yes, we saw a rainbow while at the football game but it was to the east of us as the sun was going down. It didn't show a full or double where we were. And I too hope that they are a sign of GOOD news. We need a little of that here in LW as well as in the world. thanks for sharing.

Found this for you about double rainbows:

A double rainbow lit the darkened cloudy sky. God said, “Trust me through the storm, I have you. Don’t lean on your own understanding but lean into me, as the showers refresh. Embrace my wind, it blows the mosquitos away. Know my rainbow is a double one of covenant. They witness to my faithfulness. Trust me. I bring you through the storm. I am here for you.”
