I'm sure she's an amazing person but can we afford her? I'd love a Bentley but I can't afford it!

Gosh, for the 2nd 'poorest' city in the county we sure don't act like it.

How does this job take priority over our horrible roads we must get grants for or vote on bonds! Why is the Government and not a Restaurant or DJ coordinating the space and pay a secretary to schedule the events?

Again, I'm sure a nice person but come on Lake Worth! If you have NO MONEY to fix the roads we for surely can't afford this too!

I clicked on the page and it's nice advertizement for groups to be posted but what work are the two (2) gals doing and can we see their employment contracts?
What have they done so far that has produced a profit COMPARED too both their pay (and benefits)?

I agree that we certainly need to attend to many infrastructure issues, but having a vibrant, fun city helps draw visitors to our city to patronize our businesses and also draws new residents who will pay taxes for those roads.

Lynn, who do have to thank for hiring her?
I agree with the above comment...drawing more people into town will create $$ for infrastructure - she sounds pro-active and hopefully will make the most of what we have to offer!

The truth of the matter is, this commission is very business friendly and will bend over backwards to attract it no matter what even to the point of bulldozing 80 to 100 acres of John Price Park just in case that traffic from a spring training stadium might trickle over to Lake Worth....even weaning our dependency off the electric utility to attract more business even though it will leave us short for general operations. But then they will get you on a general obligation bond and grab the cash. :)
