Newly painted downtown Planters

Comment Up
An anonymous poster on this blog warned us about this happening. What was used? Crayola paint? Paint washed down on the pavers.

Andy you're always working on your own, though seeming to be everbody's friend.. selling cheap shit and cigarettes. Sucked up to Joan, the CRA, so shocking that the "Co-Chair:(no such thing) went that way. BUT, oh so true, a backroom wooden dildo and balding head, too. You played both sides, a Facebook Naked chest that disappeared upon request. Who is the real Andy? Oh, a merchant has no country other than anything else but himself. You suck ... go paint another planter in another cheap color and call it LULA you MUTHA ******!!!!!!!!

He shoulda used lime wash. Not paint.

OMG is this just one more thing that the commission said yes on?

This NEVER came before the commission.

They look horrible, I've noticed the paint wearing off the last couple of weeks. I wasn't really a fan of the painted planters but the way they look now is just ratty. They should be spraywashed and left as they were.

Before the planters were painted they matched the pavers by having a natural finish. They were never meant to be painted. Big mistake to expect them to hold the paint.

Regardless of free speech and that you allow attacks on public figures, posting 8:39 was in very poor taste. Seems like most of your commenters are ya know what you oughta do people. Ok mistake was made, will be fixed. Maybe 12:36 should jump in and help.

Now and then I will get someone who posts something that is right in your face. Public figures are ok to post about and I would prefer no one with personal attacks post here--but there is some degree of freedom of speech. However, I would guess, on a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being the highest for comments allowed on a blog that Are in POOR TASTE, you would have to go to Blackman's blog for that. Also, you would be surprised at the number of comments that I delete especially about him. Raising the bar here is a good thing and we all should be aware of what we write. Anonymous posts are an easy way to get off on people. Cowards do that.

People are allowed to point out problems here in our city and personality traits or decisions that they feel hurt our city by our electeds and administration.

Why should someone jump in and help anony at 10:03. Who even approved of this? Name the person. That is the person who should be jumping in. We as residents don't have the authority to jump in.

Seems that 8:39 has some real anger issues. Andy is one of the only electeds who really goes out and practices what he preaches. He is involved with almost every neighborhood clean-up, helps to organize every event and generally is open to anybody (almost by default) to come and opine about what is being done or not being done.

I've been edited out for far less that what the poster stated. Good thing you didn't allow the F%$# word, I'm sure no one could be offended by the way it was used.

By his way of thinking, anyone elected who supports the good things that are happening in the city such as LULA or the CRA is "sucking up". So what, he uses the term "co" instead of "vice". What's the point? He was instrumental in getting some good things going for Lake Worth by NOT being a member of the anti-gentrification group who don't want Lake Worth to prosper as it will raise rents and make it harder for poor people to live here. Guess what? Raising property values will raise rents.

I think we can see that having too many "low rent" residents do nothing to help the city.

While anti-gentrification could be looked at as noble, it flies in the face of everything we need to do to bring Lake Worth back to sustainability. It does, however, help in our race to the bottom of Palm Beach County's most desirable places to live.

Andy is doing a good job. He wants Lake Worth to prosper. He understands how having a hotel district with a working hotel could actually help us. I sincerely hope he is able to continue and will support him any way I can. You are appreciated Andy. Thank you for all you do.

You said at 12:06: I think we can see that having too many "low rent" residents do nothing to help the city.
Then how come he continues to vote in low rent and affordable housing. You are full of it and so is he. Tell him to find a Da*U* developer to build a hotel and clean up the crap. No developer wants to to come here because he still caters to the poor and sucks up to the CRA.
