Some anonymous wonder attempted to post that I don't know what the Fuck I am talking about when it comes to the illegally hung banner on the Gulfstream. They continue to tell the public that I am one stupid broad. I know egregious acts when I see them. I know when people pull clever moves on a weekend so Code can't do a damn thing about it. Even that statement is not true as the City Manager Michael Bornstein was notified and could have called a staff member down there to remove it. We will have to hear all about how it is a CODE ISSUE and not what it really is--blatant breaking of our laws by two members of the Friends of the Gulfstream PAC, people who have big connections with big people. Talk about conflict of interest. Talk about special interests. Talk about friends in high places. Talk about bullies.
The PAC put the banner up, permission from the owner to install or remove is moot. The PAC needs to take it down. These people are on city boards and as such know the laws --they broke them intentionally. They represent the City by being on a city board and the City needs to do something about it, now. The PAC should be fined to the max. They now have a yard sign that is one big lie. Their tag line is the most ridiculous lie of all. It is what they do best.
I want those people to be removed. If these boards don't remove them, then they are all complicit in corruption. And that wouldn't surprise anyone.
What's more, this incident changed my mind on March elections and I am now leaning to keep November elections and would like everyone to vote them out of office this November. We can't afford these people in office one minute longer. They all laugh in your face and are bullies with their power. They stomp on you and walk all over you every chance they get for their special interests.
Winning an election by dishonesty is not winning anything and we are all losers for it. Bullies with power are dangerous to our sensibilities and democracy itself.

The people of Lake Worth are caught in this invisible mind net, and that is how any victim of mind control must feel, confused, caught. The people have stopped asking questions and just allow themselves to be told what to think and do and believe the big lie; controlled by bullies and the local press that wants to be with the popular kids. People who scream the loudest (and we know who the big mouths are) get results. Let's stop them this time.
The laws make it difficult for removal - hard to prove and I noticed the CRA follows DIFFERENT RULES! Just like Gov to cya themselves while punishing YOU if you disobey THEM!

Sorry Lynn, I watched these dirty birds write the ordinances for IG/Ethics and you have to stand up on video to drop your drawers to get a conviction!
Aaronson's Lawyer was ON THE BOARD writing these ordinances and had to quit because he was representing Burt. Trella White (LOC) said like, It's sad to see him go but let's consider what he thinks we should include in the wording! Burt won and collected 5K from WTP! The Bill was for 20K and I have always wondered if Burt claimed the remaining 15K as a gift!
"Acts Of pretended Legislation" is what this is called - and by the banner boondoggle it is top of the list!

Had we done the same thing - how long do you think a YES banner would have stayed on the Gulfstream?
I bet the city would pay overtime to remove it immediately!

Why would you blame the city for the sign. It was put up on a weekend and nothing can be done about it. The placement of the sign on private property creates a lot of legal issues and it cannot be removed without due process. It's not a criminal act to put up a sign. It may be a code violation or an election law violation. Neither of these violations is grounds to remove a board member. There are also issues of freedom of speech. If the city acts illegally it will be sued. So the guys that put this up knew what they were doing. It's not fair to blame our elected officials for not acting. There is little they can legally do.
The people who are a part of this PAC and on city boards need to be removed -immediately.And I'm sure that if this illegal sign had had a different message, it would have been taken down by the city before Saturday morning!!!! Katie Mcgiveron

I blame the City for its lack of inaction. These people are on city boards. It IS a city problem when people break the law. How many times do I have to talk about it? In how many ways? It may not be a "criminal" act because they won't get jailed for it but they broke LW law and did it knowingly. Let's not soft soap the issue and be stupid here.
Lynn, how can you blame the city for a lack of action in removing board members. That can only happen with a commission meeting.
Perhaps a better question might be "How did Greg and Loretta" decide to form a PAC together w/out breaking Sunshine?" This is beyond my understanding! Did god put it miraculously on each of their hearts and it happened?
So when the actual votes come up and half the board can't vote - who shot heights in the ass here?
I've been by the banner a few times and the people who see it 'get it'!
The only reason politicians would push so hard against the will of the people is if they have been promised kickbacks or taken money upfront from developers. We need to get the FBI involved here to investigate corruption.
No one is blaming the city. We are blaming the people who KNOWINGLY broke the law and put up this ILLEGAL sign. A crime HAS been committed. We have laws that govern signs in lake Worth. and Loretta Sharpe is on the Historical Preservation Board,no Sunshine Violation there.The sign is a code violation,but there are code procedures and I am sure they will be followed. I don´t see blaming the
staff of having anything to do with this,unless you have a picture of them hoisting the banner.
Nobody is accusing the city staff of doing this.What people are upset by is the total LACK OF ACTION on the part of city staff. If the message on this illegal banner were different, Staff would have had it down within hours!!!Instead ,they know where their bread is buttered. The Commission would probably order staff to help put this illegal banner back up if it blew down!! LOL.
It's illegal for a banner to be placed on a federally designated landmark and Mrs. Sharpe knows this. She needs to be kicked off the board.
We're not bullies. We just waat our own way all of the time. We will figure out a way to win this even if we lie through our teeth. So screw off.
