Oy Vey, Obama snubs Israel Prime Minister

Obama’s choice of guests is mind-boggling

As the time for the United Nations General Assembly meeting in New York City draws closer, our president’s selection of guests with whom to have a dialogue grows even stranger.

Mr. Obama has signaled that his schedule won’t allow him time to meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who represents the only consistent American ally in the Middle East. But the president is slated to meet with Mohammed Morsi, the Muslim Brotherhood president of Egypt.

Our president doesn’t want to appear “anti-Islamic” in any way, so he will ignore the long and bloody history of the Muslim Brotherhood. He threw our long-standing Egyptian friend and ally, Hosni Mubarak, under the bus to make way for the Muslim Brotherhood. It was the Muslim Brotherhood that murdered Anwar Sadat, the Egyptian president who had made peace with Israel.

Mr. Obama has already made up his mind that Iran is going to weaponize its nuclear know-how and expects to “negotiate” with its leaders to keep them from using that know-how. The economic sanctions in place will either do the job or Mr. Obama will apply his powerful negotiating skills to eliminate the threat. There are no teleprompters in such meetings.

So when the “leader of the free world” chooses not to meet with the leader of a loyal ally and friend of our country for many years, we have reason to ask, What in the world is our president thinking?
