Mark Allen Siegel

Mark Allen Siegel

Waterman Victory Party

It is way past time that politicians be held accountable for the stupid things that they say...for the lies...for the bigotry. And this "stepping down" should trickle all the way up to the chair of the Democratic National Committee, Debbie Wasserman-Schultz.

Mark Allen Siegel has now stepped down, after a lot of Party pressure, as Chair of the Palm Beach County Democratic Party, for the world's most outrageous and stupid remark when he told a reporter at the Democratic National Convention that pro-Israel Christians wanted to see Jews slaughtered.

The exact statement that got him into so much trouble:

"I'm Jewish. I'm not a fan of any religion other than Judiasm. He further stated that "...Christians just want us to be there so we can all be slaughtered and converted and bring on the second coming of Jesus Christ. They are not our friends. They want Israel to pursue policies which are anti-ethical with its security and existence. The worst possible allies for the Jewish state are the fundamentalist Christians who want Jews to die and convert so they can bring on the second coming of their Lord. It is a false friendship. They are seeking their own ends and not ours."
