Charles F. Tolbert, Candidate for President of the U.S.

Last week, while waiting for an appointment at a building on 10th Avenue North in Lake Worth, I ran into an actual, gosh darn real candidate for president of the United States, Charles F. Tolbert.

As he was checking in, I heard him mention that he was a candidate for President of the United States. That quickly got my attention so I strolled over to him and introduced myself. He gave me his business card with a PO Box in Ft. Lauderdale, all done in red, white and blue asking for my vote.

Mr. Tolbert's Party is Citizens for a Better America and part of his platform touches on education. He poses the question, "What if a stimulus package paid all lenders of all students that currently have student loans?  In so doing, the students would have an increase of disposable income, which they could use to purchase items, and in many cases keep them from filing bankruptcy. We should note that student loans are not forgiven in bankruptcy.

Like all other Americans, we are bettering ourselves in order to provide not only a better life style for ourselves and our families, but also to keep America ahead of other countries. Yet, because of the fact that education is a privilege, and not a right, we have to borrow money in order to further our knowledge."

Aside from electing one good man or woman as President of the United States, that's his pitch!
