Advisory Board applications now being accepted in Lake Worth

The City is now accepting applications from residents to serve on Advisory Boards.
Go to the City's website (www.lakeworth.org) to find descriptions of the Boards and application forms - click on City Residents then on Volunteer Boards or visit City Hall to get the information. Deadline to submit an application is May 25. The commission will interview applicants and select new Board members at public meetings on June 25 and 26.

Following are the Boards and estimated vacancies:
  • Board of Trustees-Employees Retirement Board, 1 position
  • Board of Trustees - Firefighters, 1 employee & 1 citizen position
  • Board of Trustees - Police Retirement System, 1 employee & 1 citizen position
  • City Recreation Board, 7 positions
  • City Tree Board, 1 position
  • Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA), 1 position
  • Construction Board of Adjustments and Appeals (engineer, architect and building industry experience required)
  • Finance Advisory Board (FAB), 4 positions
  • Historic Resources Preservation Board, 4 positions
  • Library Board, 1 position
  • Planning & Zoning Board/Nuisance Abatement Board/Board of Signs Appeals, 3 positions
  • Sister City Board, 7 positions
