Shakedown Artists in Lake Worth

Comment Up
A creep, living in Lake Worth conned a senior citizen by pretending to be a Federal Agent. He managed to get $5,000 and two diamond rings or he was going to arrest him for soliciting a prostitute. The senior denied it but the extortion took place. You have to wonder how these things happen. Do some innocent people just go brain dead or temporarily insane and allow criminals to extort money?

Well, it happens all of the time in Lake Worth and not just to senior citizens. Talk about the crime capital of the country being Palm Beach County…oh no, it really is Lake Worth. Last night is a prime example of what I am talking about.

The month before our local elections is always fun with excitement in the air—all of us guessing who will be the next one to help ruin our city. This is the time when the passion begins. Candidates are passing out their literature, wearing their campaign T-Shirts, waving signs and talking to the voters down on the Avenues. Evenings on the Avenue is a must for all candidates to be seen and to meet the people and it is something for which we all look forward.

Last night the event was canceled. Why? The Chamber of Commerce said that it did not have the money. I was told that Tom Ramiccio even met with Susan Stanton this week complaining and begging for money from the CRA. He didn’t get it and he canceled the event, just like that.

The Chamber held the City hostage—an attempted shakedown in Lake Worth--everyone lost.

When is the Chamber going to get a clue and cancel Tom Ramiccio ? No wonder the other local chambers laugh at this brain dead group! Katie
